Welsh Slate more commonly known as Blue Bangor Slates in Ireland and are proven to be the toughest natural slate product known to man. They are produced in Bethesda, North Wales. The Quarry has been in operation for more than 400 years and is acknowledged as one of the finest slate deposits in the world. They can be seen on prestigious buildings throughout the country.
All Welsh Slates meet EN12326-1:2004 and BS680 standards. Welsh Slates are guaranteed for 100 years from date of Installation, when fixed in accordance with the current codes of practice for slating and tiling. (BS5534 and BS8000 part 6)
